I recently launched my own website, Love Peggy Rose, where I sell up-cycled vintage and pre-owned costume jewellery that I make myself. It combines a love of fun, glamorous jewellery with a desire to keep things ‘green’ by recycling things that aren’t used any more!

One of my favourite pieces is this Heart Drop Headdress, it’s simple but totally gorgeous and is sure to dress up any outfit!

Beauty Style: Benefit Smokin’ Eyes

I’ve always been a little afraid of eyeshadow – I had a terrible experience when I was younger and I decided to ‘experiment’ with a smokey eye, but ended up with a full-on panda-punched-in-the-face look, which was not good.  Since then I have steered well clear, sticking with my trusty eyeliner/mascara combination, that is until now. The thing that I’ve fallen in love with about Benefit, is the easy-to-follow picture tutorials that show just how to get the desired look. And if I can follow them, as an absolute eyeshadow novice, anyone can!ull setThe Smokin’ Eyes pack provides you with everything you need to transform your eyes, from shadow to tweezers, which is what makes it such a good product! At £28.50 it may seem a little steep at first glance, but when you look at what you actually get for your money I think it turns out to be really good value. You can buy Benefit Smokin’ Eyes here.

Are you already a Benefit fan? What’s your favourite product? Let me know in the comments below!

Celebrity Style Crush: Rihanna

She’s always making bold style moves (some of which go a little too far) but I cannot fault Rihanna for her turquoise night-out combination! The skirt is a dream, such a gorgeous and flattering silhouette, and that shirt left open to reveal a plunging neckline is stunning! The long sleeves and simple shoes keep the look classy, and to be honest if you look like that why shouldn’t you show it off? I can’t say I’ll be replicating this look to the letter, but I’ll definitely take inspiration from Rihanna’s styling! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!

Celebrity Style Crush: Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale 02source

I’m a sucker for monotone; I’m a sucker for dressing up casual trousers and I’m a sucker for a pattern, so it’s safe to say that I can’t get enough of Kate’s airport look! I love the way she contrasted the relaxed feel of the trousers and top with the tailored blazer and glam shoes – an edgy style move. The messy hair and dark nails add the prefect finishing touches to this stylish look! What do you think? Is she working the pattern or does this look fall short? Let me know in the comments below!

Celebrity Style Crush: Nicole Richie

Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrating the Punk: Chaos To Couture exhibition, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, America - 06 May 2013Pic: David Fisher/ Rex Featuressource

Yes, the dress is gorgeous and suits Nicole perfectly, just like pretty much everything she wears nowadays, but it’s really the hair and make-up that has got my heart skipping a beat for this look! The amazing ice-queen hair, the dark lip and the smokey eyes are seriously to-die-for!

Nicole Richiesource

It’s a brave move to dye your hair that colour but I wish I had the guts! Nicole looks stunning, quirky and beyond cool! At least I think so! Do you agree? Or does this look make you want to run a mile? Let me know in the comments below!

Celebrity Style Crush: Zoe Saldana

zoe saldanasource

love a matching two-piece and this grey set on Zoe Saldana is the way to wear it if you want a smarter look. The braided hair and red lip add a little fun to this sophisticated ensemble, but the look remains sleek. I think the balance between the length of the skirt, the neckline of the top and the flash of midriff is absolutely perfect, to keep the look fresh and youthful. The only thing I don’t love is the shoes, but I can forgive that! What do you think of this look on Zoe? Cute and sophisticated? Or a little dull? Let me know in the comments below!
